Frequently Asked Questions — Plant-Based Soy Candles

1. What are your candles made from?

Our candles are handcrafted using 100% natural soy wax and pure essential oils. We never use paraffin, synthetic fragrances, dyes, or additives — staying true to our belief that things are better in their natural state.

2. Are your candles vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes — all of our candles are completely vegan and cruelty-free. We only use plant-based ingredients and never test on animals.

3. Why soy wax?

Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource that burns cleaner and longer than paraffin wax. It produces minimal soot and releases fragrance gently, creating a calm, balanced aroma.

4. What makes essential oil candles different?

Essential oils are derived from real plants, herbs, and fruits, giving each candle a more subtle, authentic fragrance. Unlike synthetic scents, they also offer natural aromatherapeutic benefits — from uplifting energy to soothing calm.

5. How long do the candles burn?

Burn time varies depending on the size:
180ml — approx. 35–40 hours
To get the best burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the top on first use, and trim the wick to 5mm before each burn.

6. Are your candles safe to use around children and pets?

Yes — when used responsibly. Always burn candles out of reach of children and pets, and ensure good ventilation. Some essential oils may not be suitable for sensitive pets — if unsure, consult your vet before use.

7. Do you use synthetic fragrance oils?

No. We use only natural essential oils, carefully blended for balance and purity.

8. Why does my candle look slightly uneven or frosted?

This is a natural characteristic of soy wax and a sign that your candle is made without synthetic additives. It doesn’t affect performance or scent throw — it’s part of the beauty of natural wax.

9. How can I make my candle last longer?

  • Trim the wick to 5mm before each use

  • Burn for 2–4 hours at a time

  • Keep away from drafts

  • Allow the wax to cool before relighting

10. What should I do with the jar when the candle is finished?

Once the wax is gone, simply wash the jar with warm soapy water and reuse it — perfect for small plants, storage, or keepsakes. We encourage reusing or recycling all packaging. ♻️
